ALBIANI GIORGIO/ Giorgio Albiani started with the study of the guitar since he was five years old. Among his later teachers were Vincenzo Saldarellei, Florindo Baldissera, Leo Brower, Alvaro Company and Alberto Ponce. Giorgio Albiani graduated from the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and completed his studies at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris. As composer and sound engineer he composed soundtracks for performances with actors like Simona Marchini, Mico Cundari, Manuela Kusterman, Riccardo Cucciolla, Franca Nuti, Sandro Lombardi and Davide Riondino. This earned him critics awards like the Swedish “Lira Gillar”, the French “Bravò”, the Italian “Fbis” and the nomination to the “Peer Raben Music Award” of the “SoundTrack_Cologne 8.0” Festival of 2011. Giorgio Albiani performs also as soloist on international stages like Paris, Lugano, Bologna, Florence, Barcelona, Seville, New York. He is a very appreciated musician, commissioner in national and international juries and teacher in masterclasses of high improvement in Italian and foreign conservatories of music, for example in Granada, Seville, Perpignan, Paris, Digione and the Académie de Musique Fondation Prince Rainier III de Monaco. He teaches at the conservatory of music “B. Maderna” in Cesena.

 

ANDREUCCETTI NICOLETTA*/ Composer, pianist, musicologist, she studied with M. Bonifacio, A. Solbiati, H. Dufourt, S. Sciarrino, B. Mantovani, I. Fedele. A collaboration with the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart at Achantes Festival 2009 (Metz, Paris) allowed her to establish an international profile with the composition S’i fosse foco. In the same year she won first prize at the International Electroacoustic Music Competition MUSICA NOVA in Prague with S’I fosse foco II for female voice and electronics, which was recorded by Barbara Zanichelli for Nova Music Edition. In 2011 her music was selected for the ISCM World New Music Days Festival 2011 (Music Biennale Zagreb) and broadcast by national radio. In March 2012, she won first prize at the Utrecht Dutch Harp Composition Contest with Mouvements, piece also selected for the International Gaudeamus Music Week 2012 and performed Gwyneth Wentink. The 56th Festival of Contemporary Music of the Biennale di Venezia (2012) has commissioned to her Figurazioni dell’invisibile for Architecture Sonora’s sound interactive installation. In 2013 in collaboration with the artist Nicholas Naughton has participated with her work Shadows in the multimedia installation Disaster of War at the University Art Gallery of Truman State University (USA), her piece Dall’oscuro II for bass clarinet and live electronics is also performed at Frederick Loewe Theatre di New York. In the same year, al Festival Spaziomusica di Cagliari was staged Noos, multimedia work written in collaboration with the collective MOA-project, hosted at the Festival Segnali 2014, at G.E.R.M.I. Music Festival 2013, and selected for Mixtur Festival 2014 (Barcelona).

 

APPARATI EFFIMERI/ Apparati Effimeri is a Visual Design Studio which carries out 3D visual mapping projects, aimed at creating spectacular effects through creative contents. A video Mapping is a 3D Video Projection that follows limits and perspectives of any shape. This technique makes possible to project on every kind of surface: from small objects till buildings, monuments and even trees. Apparati Effimeri has participated to the most important Visual Arts European Festival like: Eindhoven Glow Festival, Geneva Mapping Festival, and Toolkit Festival at Forte Marghera (Italy). Apparati Effimeri has collaborated with important brands such as Vodafone Bacardi, Pepsi, Nokia and Lavazza.

 

AUDIOTOPIE/ Founded in 2008 by Yannick Guéguen and Etienne Legast, Audiotopie is an artists cooperative specialized in urban audio experiences that reconcile electroacoustic music and new media with the cityscape. Our creations offer an original, sensory experience building on the audio, visual, tactile, and social qualities of a given area. They reside somewhere between reality and fiction in order to create poetic and musical urban environments that invite participants to take a stroll and immerse themselves in their surroundings.

 

AZZARÀ ELISA/ graduated in flute studing with Lucia Blacks and Stefano Agostini concluding his studies in 2010. During the same year he moved to Graz in Austria where she attended a master  the interpretation of the contemporary repertoire under the guidance of the soloists of the ensemble  KlangforumWien, especially Eva Furrer, Vera Fischer and Dimitrios Polisoidis, concluding the  studies with honors in 2013. In 2014 he won first prize in the category "music  Contemporary "at the International Competition" Young Musicians-City of Treviso. " She has performed at various events including the Festival of Two Worlds, the concert season  Accademia Filarmonica Romana, the cycle Viennese Neue Musik in St Ruprecht, concerts by Live National Radio Slovenia. She works as an interpreter with the collective of composers  Austrians die Andere Saite and is a founding member of the ensemble and flutist based in Schallfeld  Graz, which is responsible for the promotion and diffusion of contemporary music in Austria and  abroad. Since 2011 collaborates with the theater company Saraband (Madrid).  During his studies Elisa Azzarà part in master classes with renowned teachers such as K. Klemm, M. Marasco, M. Schnieemann, E. Klambauer, E. Furrer, M. Allin.  In recent years began to devote himself to teaching the flute and music education  basic organizing some workshops for young imprinted on improvisation in Italy, Germany and Austria.

 

BAHADORI NEJAD SASAN*/ was born in january 1992 in Tehran (IRAN). He studied classic composition for two years and know he is specializing in composition using new techonologies.

as well as being a composer he is also a musician and plays two instruments of Iranian tradition : tanbur and daf. He has recenly started a series of concert in touscany.

 

BARIS ALESSANDRO/ is musician and composer; his compositions and collaborations vary depending on the specific project. Though essentially a drummer, Alessandro has studied guitar, and also composes harmony and computer music via synthesizer, virtual instrument and real time sound processing software. A regular contributor to american band L'Altra and Arezzo, Italy's Kiddycar,Berlin's The Somnambulist Alessandro has also collaborated in projects and improvisations with Beppe Scardino, Nino Pellegrini, Raf Marchionna Trio, Roberto Bellatalla, Jesse Elder, Pulseprogramming, and Andrea Carboni. He has performed all over the world including Italy, France, Spain, the United States, Germany, China and Belgium, and at music festivals such as CMJ in New York (2010), Domino in Brussels (2009), Proximos in S. Cruz de Tenerife (2011) and Tanned Tin in Valencia (2009).

 

BARTOLOMEI GIOVANNA/ Giovanna Bartolomei, was born in Lucca in1989. She began studying flute at the age of eleven years at the Scuola Civica di Borgo a Mozzano (Lucca). She graduated from the Liceo musicale multimediale A.Passaglia of Lucca and participates as a flutist in various projects implemented by the school. In 2004, she studied piano and in 2006 she became first flute of the Regional Middle Schools and High Schools music of the Tuscany. Among the projects include: "Progetto Mozart" made at the Teatro Comunale in Florence, the installation media environment "Colorate risonanze interiori”, the project “I giovani e il mito, tra passato e presente” to “La Fondazione Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino "with the staging of Sophocles' tragedy" Antigone. " In 2014 he graduated accadamemico's degree in "Musica e nuove tecnologie" at the Conservatory "L. Cherubini" in Florence and graduated with with highest honors.He has collaborated with singer Roberta D'Alò, and musician Edward Dinelli creating interactive multimedia projects "Emily and I" (Florence 2010) and "Oltre la sfera" (Ravenna, "Dante 2021", 2011). She currently collaborate with the school “Fuoricentro Danza e Teatro” of Lucca where he worked on sound design, audio production, live electronics, video maker, webdesign.

 

BELFIORE ALFONSO*/ He is chair holder of the electronic music and coordinator in the department of music and new technology at the Conservatory "Luigi Cherubini" in Florence. He was the president of the "Institute of International Art and Technology" and Art Director of "Progetto Fortissimo". For several years, he actively took part in the research, as employer of the National Council of Research, in the Department of musical information technology; In this context he realized his first work of computer music with the audio importance "TAU2" (1977 - 1982), a special prototype designed and constructed especially for the research in the range of sound synthesis by the institutes of the C.N.R. His musical works have been listed on various international music festivals and music conferences.

 

BEVERLY THOMAS/ Thomas Rex Beverly is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas where he received a bachelor’s degree in music composition. At Trinity, he studied with Timothy Kramer, David Heuser, Jack W. Stamps, and Brian Nelson. Beverly studied abroad in fall 2008 in Prague, Czech Republic. There he studied composition with the Czech composer Michal Rataj and researched contemporary Czech music. He completed a Master of Arts in Teaching for Music Education at Trinity University and then taught as the Band and Choral Director at KIPP Aspire Academy in San Antonio. He has had pieces performed at the 2009 SCI Region VI Conference, the 2013 Electroacoustic Barn Dance Festival, the 2013 New Voices Festival at the Catholic University of America, the 2013 Christian Fellowship of Art Music Composers National Conference, the 2013 National Student Electronic Music Event at Temple University, the 2014 Biennial Symposium for Arts and Technology at Connecticut College, 2014 National Student Electronic Music Event at Georgia Southern University, the 2014 Bowling Green State University Graduate Student Conference, the 2014 SCI Iowa New Music Symposium, the 2014 TransX Transmissions Art Symposium in Toronto, Canada, the 2014 Sweet Thunder Electroacoustic Festival, the 2014 New York City Electroacoustic Festival and his piece Ringing Rocks for wind ensemble and electronics was selected as a winner of 2013 Score Project Competition for new wind ensemble music. He is currently attending graduate school at Bowling Green State University in their Master of Music Composition degree program. He is studying with Elainie Lillios and Christopher Dietz and is a Music Technology Teaching Assistant.

 

BEAU JULIEN/ Julien Beau (1982)/ French composer, he lives in Paris since 2010. He works in the fields of acousmatic music and sound art, combining recordings and improvisation, offering "acoustic and electronic sources for a chaotic mixture of sonic and textural elements". Pianist who studied classical and romantic music during his youth, he learned with Christian Eloy electroacoustic composition at Bordeaux. His music and videomusic has been played in France, Belgium, US and Canada with the support of "SCRIME", "Musiques & Recherches" and "GRM". He has also published his first CD Reflet with "Aposiopèse records". Installation, workshop, sound map, sound sculpture, radio art, audio/visual, danse or drama, he tries to explore all kind of artistic experiments using sound. As a duo, he follows the russian artist Anastasia Bolchakova on ephemeral exhibitions in Paris. They performed in galleries such as "RTR" and "Agnès B".

BIAGIOTTI ALESSADRO*/ was born in prato in 1993 and is a composer of italian pop misic and experimental music; he started to compose pop music in 2009 when he was 15years old and in 2013 he started at the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in florence the electronic music course ;he believes that the music is emotion and so in his works he try to stimulate emotions in the audience , because in his opinion music without emotion is only noise.

 

BORGHI MATTIA/ was born in Fiesole in 1987, fond of music since childhood he enrolled at the school for musical L. Ghiberti in the class of the clarinet. He continued his musical studies in parallel with the high school deepening the guitar studies before moving to the Cherubini Conservatory in Florence, in the guitar class of M ° F. Cuoghi and, at the same time, in the course of music and new technology under the guidance of master A. Belfiore M. Ligabue, R. Blacks, A. Gaetti, S. Conforti.

 

BREVI DARIO/ Born in Trescore Balneario (BG) he began studying ballet at the age of 11 years under the direction of Cristina Zatti, through which he won several scholarships, including one for the summer school of the Royal Ballet London and English National Ballet Spring Course, always with the same teacher, at the age of 17, he joined the Ballet School of Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he attended the Sixth course. The following year he became part of the company ABC Youth Association (ballet) where a principal dancer, then became part of the company Proballet Ariston in Sanremo (director Marcello Algeri). With the first prize awarded to Concorsone, Teatro Nuovo in Turin, he won a scholarship to the Central Ballet School in London, where in 2006 she obtained a BA ONS PROFESSIONAL DANCE & PERFORMANCE. BUCKLER VERNON/ is a musician and composer, he completed his musical studies in Genoa, Bologna (where he graduated with highest honors in Arts, Music and Show), and Milan with highest honors in Electronic Music. International Orchestras and ensembles have performed his works. In 2012 he won the competition of Sound Design the sounds of music as part of the Villa Arconati Music Festival in Milan. His installation "Sankta Mona Liza" was chosen among the works for the exhibition Sankta Sango - Palace of Arts, Naples. He is also specialized in the use of the Arp Odyssey synthesizer, which owns an exemplar of 1977. He has managed for years the Palazzina Liberty venue in Milan.

 

BUI ANDREA/ Began studies in Trumpet at the primary school; had various experiences in both classical but especially “non classical” music (pop, jazz), studying various instruments, interesting to the composition of electronic and electroacustic composition and the sound manipulation. His past 10 years were spent – while playing around in various orchestra and small groups – in a more organic study of the electroacustic and electronic repertoire, playing live in improvisation duo Reactribe and also participating to a cycle of concert for Arezzo “Radio Wave” but also small clubs and art galleries. His recent interest is includine also more experience on live recordin, especially field recording, both natural and artificial (soundscaping) Studied with teachers Alessandro Paolucci, Alex Stornello, Michael Mellner, Giovanni Unterberger, Carmelo Giallombardo, Nicola Costanti, Andrea dell’Ira, Bernard Fort. He is actually student at MNTec Florence, with a special interest in spazialization of the sound and reverberation.

 

BUCSIS JULIUS/ is an award winning composer, guitarist, and music technologist. His compositions have been included in many juried concerts, conferences and festivals worldwide. He also frequently performs a set of original compositions featuring electric guitar and computer generated sounds. His artistic interests include using computer technology in music composition, developing musical forms that incorporate improvisation, and composing music for traditional orchestral instruments.

 

CESARONI SABINA/ She works in Italy and abroad with leading exponents of modern-contemporary dance and dance theater. Collaborates with opera companies (Teatro Comunale in Florence, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Regio in Turin, La Fenice in Venice) and, along with his personal work of art production, worked with various theater companies working in both film and for RAI.For many years he devoted himself to the study of holistic disciplines such as Yoga, studying and practicing in several Ashrams in India. For years following the Himalayan Tradition at the Ashram in Rishikesh (Sadhana Mandir Ashram and Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama Ashram), and in Italy in Florence, at The Himalayan Yoga Institute, participating in various events organized by the Institute. Practice martial arts in India (Kalaripayat), Tai Chi (Master Grant Muradoff), vibrational energy therapy and studies in the field of bio energy (Lowen school), as well as shamanic paths with Siberian School teachers and Andean. The encounter with the world of sacred dances (dances Gurdjief), the Indian sacred dances (with particular attention to the sacred geometry applied to the physical body, Shri Yantra) and the traditional Indian dances Bharatanatyam style, the door to supplement its staff research work by marrying the techniques of yoga and dance movement. 

 

CHOI YOUNG-SHIN/ Young-Shin Choi, DMA is a composer for both instrumental and electro-acoustic music with a strong interest in interdisciplinary digital media. Dr. Choi is striving to cultivate an aesthetic based upon a unique combination of musical elements drawn from Korean traditional music and modern Western musical idioms. Recent works were presented throughout the US, Europe, Japan, and Korea. Dr. Choi received his Doctorate degree in music composition (D.M.A.) at the University of California Santa Cruz. He taught Music Theory, Electronic Music and Recording Technology courses at San Diego State University, UC Santa Cruz, Rochester Community and Technical College.

 

COLAUTTI FLORENT/ Younger, he first studied classical music and then, get degrees in architecture. He follow is scholarship and studied composition at the Bordeaux conservatory where he ad a DEM (musical education diploma) in instrumental & electronic composition. He then migrated to Paris where he follow his musical education with P. Leroux, T. Blondeau and R.R. Larivière.He also have released workshop in France and outside with renamed composer and artist. His projects links composition, live electronic, sound art and was presented in France and abroad.He won SACEM prize and 1st prize for percussion quartet (Vacances percutantes competition).

 

DE KERCKHOVE DERRICK/ is Director of the McLuhan Program in Culture & Technology and Professor in the Department of French at the University of Toronto. He was an associate of the Centre for Culture and Technology from 1972 to 1980 and worked with Marshall McLuhan for over ten years as translator, assistant and co-author. He co-edited the book The Alphabet and the Brain (Springer Verlag, 1988) with Charles Lumsden which scientifically assesses the impact of the Western alphabet on the physiology and the psychology of human cognition. Brainframes: Technology, Mind and Business (Bosch & Keuning, 1991) addresses the differences between the effects of television, computers and hypermedia on corporate culture, business practices and economic markets. The Skin of Culture (Somerville Press, 1995) is a collection of essays on the new electronic reality.Derrick's latest book, Connected Intelligence (Somerville, 1997) was launched in 1997.

 

DEL FANTE LUCA*/ I studied music from when I was young studying classical piano with private teachers. Then playing as drummer in the music bands i started to play other instruments as guitar and bass. Later i restarted to take classical piano lessons developing a special interesting for improvisation. I started to study theory of music more deeply, composition and physic of sound. In the last period I started to be intensely interesting in contemporary and electronic music, new technologies and sound creation & composition.

 

DIBELTULU MARCO/ (Alghero, 1971) studied at the Conservatory of Cagliari Composition, Choral Music and Electronic Music (with Francesco Giomi, Sylviane Sapir and Elio Martusciello). He also graduated in Music Didactics at the Conservatory of Sassari. His compositions have been selected in many competitions as 24th International Electronic Music Competition “Luigi Russolo” – Varese; CALL 2006 – Federazione CEMAT, Rome; 6th International Computer Music Competition “Pierre Schaeffer” 2007 (1st Prize) – Pescara; 360 degrees of 60x60 – Vox Novus, New York City; ICMC 2012 – Ljubljana (Slovenia); EMUFest 2012 - International Electroacoustic Music Festival of the Conservatorio S. DINELLI EDOARDO/ When Edoardo Dinelli is 5 years old and sits in front of a piano it's love at first sight. As he grows up the game turns into passion and then into obsession. He starts studing seriously with professor Nadia Puccinelli and soon he gets a Piano Degree at "Rinaldo franci" musical Institute in Siena. Meanwhile, since his music needings get stronger and stronger, he begins studing as a composer with Maestros Fabrizio Papi and Pietro Rigacci and that's it ! Later on he specializes in Film and Video scoring with important composers such as Manuel De sica, Franco Mannino and Luis Bacalov at Scuola Nazionale di Cinema in Rome . Finally, according to his real and intimate passion, he gets a Master Degree in Music and New Technologies at Conservatorio L. Cherubini in Florence studying with professor Alfonso Belfiore, so that he strongly pushes his own creativity towards multimedia and Computer Music. He lives in florence at the moment and works as music coordinator at Associazione culturale Il Paracadute di Icaro. He composes music as well for the variuos shows performing at Teatro EVEREST in Florence.

 

DOSSENA PIETRO/ (1979) is a composer, musicologist and pianist. He earned degrees in piano and composition from the conservatories of Parma and Milan respectively. He also took advanced courses with Salvatore Sciarrino at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and with Joel Feigin and Clarence Barlow at the University of California. Meanwhile he attended university and graduated in Letters at the Milan University, before completing a PhD in Musicology at the University of Padua. He spent periods of time studying and doing research in Paris, in California and in Granada. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Milan, teaching music education, history and theory. He has won prizes in various international composition competitions including the ACO Composition Competition Going for a Song 2011, the Carl von Ossietzky International Contest 2011, the International Prize V. Bucchi 2009, the Corwin Awards for Excellence in Music Composition 2009 and the International Composition Competition E. Carella 2006. An eclectic artist, Pietro Dossena is the author of compositions and audio-visual works that have been presented at many concerts and festivals, in Europe and America.

 

DURANT DAVID/ David Z. Durant (b. 1957, Birmingham, Alabama, USA) is an Associate Professor of Music at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama where he directs the music theory, composition and technology programs. He received his BM and MM from the University of Florida and his DMA from the University of Alabama. His composition teachers have included Edward Troupin, John D. White, Fred Goossen, Harry Phillips, Andrew Imbrie, Marvin Johnson, and James Paul Sain. Durant is also active as a pianist and has premiered a number of his own works for the piano.

 

E-COR/ The e-cor project formed in 2012 with the goal to gather together electroacoustic musicians from the Conservatory of Latina Ottorino Respighi; subsequently the ensemble became independent, performing several times out of the academic context. They played in international music festivals: EMUfest (International Eletroacoustic MUsic FESTival Rome), Di_stanze (Goethe Institute Palermo), Festival delle arti sonore (University of Rome "Tor Vergata"), Festival "Le forme del suono"(Cons. O.Respighi Latina), Radio Vaticana, New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, Radio Cemat.  During each performance results in the creation of a new sonic composition, taking advantage both of the freedom and the expressive depth offered by electroacoustic sound manipulation. The goal is to create an acoustic space in which the listener is immersed, breaking away from reality and entering a new world of perceptions.  e-cor are:  Francesco Altilio, Giovanni Tancredi, Mirjana Nardelli, Cristian Maddalena.

 

ESKANDAR XARENE/ Xárene Eskandar is a researcher and artist with a background ranging from yacht and automotive design to architecture, wearable technologies and live visuals. Her research interests stem from a philosophy of technology and currently she is studying the perception of self through the perception of time and space in the technical image. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Design, University of Cincinnati; MFA in Design Media Arts, UCLA; and she's in the last stretch of her PhD in Media Arts and Technology, UC Santa Barbara.

 

FILESI FABRIZIO*/ After graduating in 2010, graduating from the High School GV Catullus in Monterotondo (Rome), I prepared myself for a year to study jazz guitar and in 2011 I entered the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Florence. For three years I manage a group character pop funky jazz and treated, for influences and musical style, but also for the extensive training of 8 elements, like a jazz ensemble, with this group I have played in several clubs in and around Florence, in Rome. I have attended several seminars jazz as the "Nuoro Jazz", where I deepened the study of jazz and now I started working in different jazz guitar duets in private parties, conferences private events. I work as a guitar teacher privately, working with beginner starting from a classical base, from an average working on stairs and undertaking the rock or pop or jazz.

 

FRATTEGIANI NICOLA/ Born in Perugia in 1979, Nicola graduates brilliantly from DAMS (Academy of Art Music and Show) at the University of Bologna, with a thesis on Luigi Nono’s work “Intolleranza 1960”. He earns a MA degree on “The musical cultures of 1900’s” at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome. Together with his career as musician, author and composer in several ensembles of experimental music he also worked on video soundtracks. He attended the course “Sound Design for Cinema” held by Cristiano Ciccone in partnership with Technicolor in Rome, obtaining the 101, 110 and 201 AVID certificate. Later he attended a course on “Analog multi-track recorders” led by Paolo PIerelli. Currently is attending the first of three years of Electronic Music at the “Francesco Morlacchi” conservatory of Perugia, under the supervision of M° Luigi Ceccarelli.

 

FUKUDA TAKUTO/ Takuto Fukuda(b.1984/Japan) is a composer and a sound artist woking in the field of electroacoustic and mixed music.He received his BA(Sonology/2008) f rom Kunitachi College of Music in Japan and his MA(Sonology/ 2011) from The Royal Conservatory in The Hague in The Netherlands. He has studied under Takayuki Rai, Shintaro Imai, Cort Lippe, Johan van Kreij, Naoko Hishinuma and Masakazu Natsuda. GAJARDO ALLENDE CRISTIAN/ He graduated from the Catholic University of Chile in Doubblebass, sounds with the 'National Youth Orchestra, accompanied by Jan Anderson (Jethro Tull flautist of the Group), Symphony Orchestra Concepcion (Concepcion-Chile). In 2001 he moved to Italy and graduated at the Conservatorio "Luigi Cherubini" in Florence, orchestral sounds with various groups including the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music, Orchestra of the Music School of Fiesole, V. Galilei, he plays for the 'recording of the CD Teruhico Saito Japanese Doubblebassist. He plays with "Malta Philharmonic Orchestra" conducted by the Masters Wayne Marshall and Leonardo De Amicis accompanying the tenor Joseph Calleja, Michael Bolton, Dionne Warwick and Riccardo Cocciante. GARCIA LOPEZ JOSE/ Jose M. Garcia, born in Spain in 1974, currently working as the bass player in the International Performing Arts Group of GEN ROSSO.Started his musical itinerary at the age of 12 at the Conservatory of Seville with the saxophone as his primary instrument. Played the bass and the saxophone in various Rock, Pop, Blues and Indie groups during his adolescent years. In 1999 completed his studies in the University of Seville as an Industrial Engineering Technician. He then transferred to Tuscany in Italy. In 2002-2003 he traveled to Barcelona and worked as as Engineer in a real estate construction firm. From 2004 to the present lives in Tuscany where he works as a musician with the group Gen Rosso,  touring different countries, reaching all 5 continents. In the group he composes music and works with multimedia presentations together with his collegues. On December 2013 he has completed the First Level degree in Music and New Technologies in the Conservatory of Music "Luigi Cherubini" in Florence.

GIORGETTI EMAUELE/ Emanuele Giorgetti was born in Florence in 1988. He starts playing piano when he was 10 joining one year later Guicciardini School's orchestra for three years. He received his first keyboard at the age of 12 and he starts practicing in synthetic sounds. In 2005 join a band: Flashback of Anger as keyboard player. In 8 years he has the chance to record two album, having a great experience at the High Gain Recording Studios in Hamburg with Gamma Ray. He play at the Evolution Festival in 2006 as opener in front of 3000 people. In the following years he plays a lot of gigs in Italy, Norway and Czech Republic. From 2007 to 2012 works as sound technician and event manager. In 2007 join the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini studying Music and New Technology. He develops artistic and technical skills in computer music. Produces 3 electroacustic compositions that prelude to his final opera: Oikeiosis, Spiriti Ancestrali. In 2014 get the Conservatorio's degree with 110 and honors (highest possible grade in the Italian system).

 

GROSSI PIETRO/ was born in Venice, and he studied in Bologna eventually taking a diploma in composition and violoncello. In the sixties Grossi taught at the Conservatory of Florence and began to research and experiment with electroacoustic music. From 1936 to 1966 was the first cellist of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino orchestra. Grossi began to experiment with electroacoustic music in the 1950s. By 1962, he had become the first Italian to carry out successful research in the field of computer music. In 1963, he turned his interest to electronic music and founded the S 2F M (Studio di Fonologia Musicale di Firenze) which made its headquarters in Florence at the Conservatorio, and he also became a lecturer in this subject. In 1964 he organized events with the association Contemporary Musical Life that introduced in Italy the work of John Cage. In 1965 he obtained the institution of the first professorship of Electronic Music in Italy. In 1967 he made the first experiences in computer music. In 1970 he made his first approaches to musical telematics organizing a performance with a link between Rimini (Pio Manzù Foundation) and Pisa (CNUCE). He has not limited his work to the musical world, but also engaged in contemporary art. In the eighties he was working on new forms of artistic production oriented toward the use of personal computers in the visual arts. Grossi started to develop visual elaborations created on a personal computer with programs provided with "self-decision making" and that works out the concept of HomeArt (1986), by way of the personal computer, raises the artistic aspirations and potential latent in each one of us to the highest level of autonomous decision making conceivable today, and the idea of personal artistic expression: “a piece is not only a work (of art), but also one of the many “works” one can freely transform: everything is temporary, everything can change at any time, ideas are not personal anymore, everybody could use them”. The last step of his HomeArt, is the creation of a series of unicum books, electronically produced and symbolically called HomeBooks (1991.

 

GROSSO DANIELE/ (1979) graduated from the University of Milan with a Master Degree in Arts and Literature and studied Multimedia Content Design at the University of Florence. He currently works in the field of video post-production. He has made several documentaries, experimental short films and video projections for concerts. "To Gather Together n.11", an interactive musical installation, won the "Milano in Digitale" contest in 2008.

 

HILL ANDREW/ Andrew Hill (1986) is a British composer of electroacoustic music, specialising in studio composed works both acousmatic (purely sound based) and audio-visual. His works have been performed extensively across the UK, as well as in Europe and the US. JACKSON MAGGIE/ Maggie Jackson is senior lecturer in art history at the University of Chester. Her primary research interest is in the representation of light in northern landscapes. She often uses art historical and literary references in her work and is drawn to interdisciplinary approaches.

 

LAMNECK ESTHER/ The New York Times calls her“an astonishing virtuoso”. Winner of the prestigious Pro Musicis Award, she has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras, with conductors such as Pierre Boulez, and with renowned chamber music and improvising music artists throughout the world. A versatile performer and an advocate of contemporary music, she is known for her work with electronic media including interactive arts, movement, dance and improvisation. Ms. Lamneck makes frequent solo appearances at music festivals worldwide and maintains an active solo career performing and presenting Master Classes in Universities and Conservatories throughout the United States and Europe. An artist who is sought after by the leading composers of our times, her collaborations have led to hundreds of new compositions in many genres including solo works for the clarinet and the tárogató. Esther Lamneck is one of a few performers who plays the Hungarian Tárogató, a single reed woodwind instrument with a hauntingly beautiful sound. The instrument’s aural tradition has led her to perform it almost exclusively in new music improvisation settings. She is recognized for her collaborative work with composers on both the clarinet and the tárogató in creating electronic music environments for improvisation. Awarded the Naumburg Scholarship, Ms. Lamneck received her B.M., M.M. and Doctoral degrees from the Juilliard School of Music where she was a clarinet student of Stanley Drucker, other teachers have included Robert Listokin, and briefly Rudolf Jettel. She currently serves as Program Director of Woodwind Studies and the Clarinet Studio at New York University. She is artistic director of the NYU New Music and Dance Ensemble, an improvising flexible group which works in electronic settings using both fixed media and real time sound and video processing. Ms. Lamneck has worked together with choreographer Douglas Dunn for many years creating multimedia productions for Festivals in the US and Italy. Her work in the area of Interactive Technology includes research with the “Eyesweb” program which allows for gestural control of live sound and video processing and numerous programs within the NYU technology labs

 

LIGABUE MARCO*/ Maestro Marco Ligabue teaches "Computer Music" at the Conservatory of Music "Luigi Cherubini" in Florence. It coordinates the activities of the Unit of Computational Musicology ISTI (Institute of Science and Information Technology) of the National Research Council at the MartLab, technology center of the Florentine academy, a collaboration between the two institutions with the help of The Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze and RAI - Regional Headquarters for Tuscany. His main fields of interest are the composition (instrumental, electroacoustic and mixed), the implementation and execution of live electronics, musical theater, research, analysis and semiotics of music. He published Mouton de Gruyter, MIT Press, Swets & Zeitlinger, Harwood Academic Publishers, Indiana University Press, Clueb, Cambridge University Press, ERI / RAI, Publications de la Sorbonne and many others. She received an MPhil in Multimedia composition from University of Sheffield. LORIGA ANDREA/ was born on december 15th 1982 in Sassari, Sardinia.Since He was a teenager He was interested in music, startng his experiments with tapes and local radio shows. In 2005 his career started as DJ, getting vent to his bigger passion. In 2011 He has joined to world of contemporary music, startng the ELECTRONIC MUSIC course at “L. Canepa” school of music in Sassari, under the guidance of his master Walter Cianciusi. Since that moment He started his career as electroacoustc compositor, frst on educational purposes and than just for own pleasure and driven by the desire to explore new electronic realites. He is willing to try to fnd a line between world of electroacoustc music and his world of DJING. Although He has recently enjoyed the electroacoustc scenery, He's trying to get to a different reality of electronic music through his own music works, always doing new experiments and compositon of introspectve.

 

LYON ERIC/ is a composer and computer music researcher. His recent work focuses on articulated noise, spatial orchestration and computer chamber music. His software includes FFTease and LyonPotpourri, collections of audio objects written for Max/MSP and Pd. His book “Designing Audio Objects for Max/MSP and Pd” is published by A-R Editions. In 2011, Lyon was awarded a Giga-Hertz prize from ZKM, resulting in the composition of the 43-channel computer music composition Spirits. Lyon has taught at Keio University, IAMAS, Dartmouth, Manchester University, Queen’s University Belfast, and currently teaches at Virginia Tech.

 

MAFFEI LAMBERTO/ is President of the Class of Physical Sciences and President of the National Academy of Lincei. Born in Grosseto March 21, 1936, he graduated in Medicine at the University of Pisa. He studied under the guidance of prof. Giuseppe Moruzzi and began with him in his studies on the central nervous system. He conducted much of his research at the Institute of Neurosciences of the National Research Council, of which he was director from 1980 to 2008. He 'was a professor of neurobiology at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa from 1988 to 2008 and director of the homonymous workshop. He is currently professor emeritus at the Scuola Normale Superiore. He has conducted research and has been a visiting professor at several foreign universities, including the University of Cambridge UK, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Cambridge USA, the Collège de France, the University of California, the 'Oxford University and the Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris. The research of Professor. Maffei is principally directed to the study of the central nervous system, particularly with regard to the visual system of mammals, using experimental techniques such as electrophysiology, psychophysics, molecular biology. Among his most significant achievements, the introduction of electrophysiological methods for early diagnosis of diseases of the nervous system, the recording of the electrical activity prenatal, the role of neurotrophins in the development and plasticity of the nervous system; recently studied ways to reactivate plasticity in the adult nervous system, methods that are applying for the prevention of dementia. On these subjects he has to his credit more than 280 scientific publications, of which the vast majority of international newspapers, among them the great disclosure, such as Science, Nature, as well as many reviews. He has also written four books: The Vision: from neurophysiology to psychology, Mondadori Collection, EST, Milan, 1979 (in collaboration with L. MASI MATTEO/ Matteo Masi was born in Florence in 1975. He started studying music at the age of 12 by attending the music conservatory of Florence.In 1997, after receiving a diploma in bassoon, he continued his musical studies dedicating his time to music composition under the guide of M° Franco Cioci until his fourth year. Then he started his specialization in electronic music. From this moment on he is followed by M° A. Belfiore firstly, who brings Matteo to receiving his diploma in Electronic Music. Subsequently, he attended masterclasses in Computer Music under the guide of M° M. Ligabue in 2008. Finally, in 2013, he attended a two year specialization course in Technological Music Disciplines – Music and New Technologies – specializing in film soundtracks. Music composer and sound designer, he writes scores for theater, working with several theatrical companies. Some of these collaborations are with the writer and playwright Giovanni Cascio Pratilli, for whom he wrote the OST for the play “L'Amnesia”. He has been collaborating some years with the production studio Malandrino Film of Florence, for which he wrote original music and scores for advertisements. He wrote the original music and sound design for several short films, such as “Il Passeggero” by Benni Piazza, winner of the Fano International Fil Festival 2013.

 

MASSARI ANDREA/ He began to play electronic organ with Maestro Roberto Giorgi. Then, he studied piano under the direction of Maestro Agostino Todaro. He studies composition and orchestration under the director of Alfonso Belfiore. Composer, he produced many orchestra themes triing to express in music his creativeness. He shows the necessary sensibility to turn images into music. He is interested in instrumental improvisation and in the research for new forms of composition language.

 

MARINONI MARCO/ Marco Marinoni (10/April/1974) is a composer and a professor at the Conservatory of Music “G. Verdi” of Como where he teaches Electroacoustic Performance Practice. He gained a M. Mus. Conservatory Degree in Computer Music (2007) 10/10 cum laude, a Master’s Degree in Sound Direction and Live-Electronics at the Conservatory of Music “B. Marcello” of Venice (2007), 110/110 cum laude with Alvise Vidolin and a Master’s Degree in Composition (2013), 110/110 cum laude. He is a member of SIMC - Società Italiana Musica Contemporanea. ArsPublica and Taukay publish the scores of his pieces.

 

MARTIELLO DAVIDE*/ was born in 1992 and lives in Florence, where after a classical education last year he started his studies in jazz guitar at the Cherubini Conservatory. He had a passion for writing, as a child / teenager and has won a couple of literary awards and rewarded with the publication of the writings in magazines. While studying, he performer in different Italian regions as guitarist and drummer, in various groups, ranging from metal to funk, blues and jazz. He has recorded two albums and an EP with two different groups, with some tracks recorded at SIAE, and the other two disks, one as a solo artist is in preparation. The music is his greatest passion.

 

NERI ROBERTO*/ Obtained full university degree in electronic engineer at the University of Pisa, Italy. The field of specialization was sound elaboration and computer technologies for the music.   He worked at the CNR (National Research Council) on algorithms for gestural control of sound and on algorithms for reverb decreasing. Currently he’s working as sound engineer at the laboratory MARTLab (Music, Audio, and Restore Technologies) at the Conservatory of Music of Florence where he’s also teaching Audio Signal Numeric Elaboration in the Music and New Technologies Course. He studied guitar and composition and he performed in several ensembles, especially playing guitar and live electronics.

 

ODORI SERGIO/ Since 2007 he collaborates regularly with several orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the orhestra Hyden of Bolzano, the Arturo Toscanini Foundation of Parma, the Camerata Instrumental Prato founded by Riccardo Muti, Orchestra of the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago , the Orchestra Massimo DeBernart, the Florence Synphonietta, the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina and is directed by great directors such as Zubin Mehta, Wayne Marshall, Kazushi Ono, Daniel Oren, Piero Bellugi, Alexander Pinzauti performing in concerts with major soloists such as Dale Clevenger , Hidehiro Fujita and Steven Mead. He collaborates with some chamber music ensemble of ancient and contemporary music. He participated in various masterclasses with leading percussionists in the world scene, performers and composers such as Ney Rosauro, Dave Samuel, Peter Sadlo and David Friedman. Under the guidance of Maestro Fabian Perez and German Maestro John Carmassi participates in an important festival dedicated to percussion in the Savoy Theatre of Campobasso as the first percussionist with Bartok's Sonata. In June 2010 he joined the "Peter Adragna Ensemble" and participated in many tours and festivals throughout the country in January 2011 and internazionale.A plays with Harmonia Ensemble in Mexico at the music festival in the state of Sonora. In 2014 he graduated two years of advanced training of teachers for the competition class A077 with highest honors. He teaches percussion in middle school musical and has held a seminar on body percussion in training teachers of the School of Music of Fiesole.

 

PALMENTIERO DAVIDE/ prepared guitar and laptop/ Born in 1993. Began his musical studies at the age of six years at the Academy of Ludwig Van Beethoven in Bellizzi (Salerno) under the guidance of M° Giuseppe Pacelli. At 13 he began the study of Modern Guitar. At 16 he started playing with various local bands between Salerno and Naples. Actually, as guitarist, is playing with "Il Cerchio del Pozzo", a tribute band of songwriter Fabrizio de André. He also collaborated with the reggae duo “Cilento Roots”, as arranger and guitar player for the album “Cilentoland”. He' s attending the course of Electronic Music at the Conservatory San Pietro a Majella in Naples with M° Elio Martusciello.

 

PANERAI ALESSANDRA/ Born in Florence, she starts to study the piano around 5, under the guidance of Maestro Amleto Manetti, at the same time she attends the Accademia dei Piccoli, where for some years she follows the courses of classical dance.! In 1997, after graduating in piano at the Academy of Music, she opens to new interests as teaching music, computer music and electroacoustic composition. In 2006 she discovers the electronic instrument on which she will build the work of her experimental musical research: The Theremin.! This new route will charme her the to the point of graduating in "Music and New Technologies" in 2012. She performs with Theremin & Live Electronics, also exposing her audiovisual works and multimedia installations during festivals and cultural events.! PANERAI GRERORIO*/ Gregorio Panerai (08/16/1989) approaches to electroacoustic music after studying modern guitar with Luca Gelli, Niccolò Pasquinelli, and music theory with Massimiliano Calderai and Claudio Giovagnoli. In 2009 he attended the Cherubini Conservatory in Florence at Triennium of Music and New Technologies, where he studied Music Composition with Alfonso Belfiore, Computer Music Programming with Marco Ligabue and Programming Languages with Roberto Neri. In 2010, he participated in the Festival of Creativity in Florence as guitarist /live electronics of MNT Florence Ensemble directed by Alfonso Belfiore, for a concert of electroacoustic music. In 2012, he repeated the experience as an instrumentalist of the ensemble, however, this time directed by Esther Lamneck for a series of concerts in Florence. In 2013 his song Nubibus, for ensemble and live electronics, written for the New Music Ensemble of New York University is played for the first time at the Loewe Theatre in New York, under the direction of Esther Lamneck. In 2014 he received his first degree in Music and New Technologies with a final vote of 110 cum laude from the Conservatory of Music of Florence. He is currently enrolled in the MA Degree in Music and New Technologies of the same academy. In addition to continuing in the path of composition and musical research, is responsible for production and post-production music, he collaborates with various bands and he writes soundtracks for independent films of debutant directors.

 

PELLI NICOLA*/ Born in Perugia on April 22, 1970, introduced to the study of music from nonno Igino soprano sax player Skins. At the age of 11 years the first studies of Bach, Bethooven on the piano with Professor Maria Gabriella Carlizzi. A love for the piano that will no longer be allowed. Then I followed various collaborations with various Umbrian and Tuscan musical groups as both a pianist and vocalist. He attended the conservatories of Perugia (branch of Marsciano with piano) and Florence (with Trombone and bass tuba) become his second home. From 1991 he holds the post of First Tuba at the Fanfare of the Carabinieri in Florence. In 2009 he conducted the only Italian Band formation to Marsciano (PG) in the Europeade in Klaipeda (Lithuania) enjoying great success. In 2013 has collaborated with the GubbiOrchestrAcademy 1° Tuba. PENGILLY SYLVIA/ has always been fascinated by the correlation between what the ear hears and what the eye sees. Because of this, many of her works integrate both musical and visual elements. Mathematics and physics, including Chaos Theory, Quantum Mechanics, and Superstrings, are of particular interest and frequently provide the basis for her works. These have been presented both nationally and worldwide at several festivals, including many SEAMUS National Conferences, the Medi@terra festival, ICMC, the “Not Still Art” Festival, the “Visual Music Marathon,” and she recently had a screening of one of her videos at the 2013 Downtown Film Festival in Los Angeles.She was formerly professor of theory and composition in the College of Music at Loyola University, New Orleans, where she also founded and directed the electronic music composition studio. She presently lives in Atascadero, California, where she composes music and creates “Visual Music” videos.

 

PICCIONE FABIO/ Seravezza, 1978 essayist, photographer and video maker. Graduated in Arts, Music & Entertainment Cinema address (University of Bologna - 2004). In 2006 he graduated from the Master in Sciences and Techniques of Performing Arts (University of Parma). In 2004, with the collaboration of Goffredo Fofi and Giampiero Ingrassia, published the essay Due cialtroni alla rovescia (Frilli Editore, Genova 2004) first anthropological study on the comic parody of Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia. In 2010, in Bologna, founded Ragoo Studio, an agency of production and post-production in advertising, with which he made numerous commercials cine-web-tv. In 2013 he co-founded Mitodeus agency audiovisual communication. In the same year he founded Semios, Picture and Audiovisual Communication Studies Centre, with the aim of promoting and spreading the culture of image and Audiovisual Communication. In 2014 he published Lo sguardo assoluto - Percorsi di estetica trascendentale audiovisiva. Among the collaborations: Daniele Ciprì and Franco Maresco in the movie Come inguaiammo il cinema italiano (2004) and Gaetano Morbioli and Gian Marco Mazzi (Run Multimedia).

 

PISANO GIUSEPPE/ laptop, Born in 1991. He began as drummer, studying with M° Salvatore Tranchini. Always interested in the extreme and noisy sounds, initially he was focused on the black metal and hardcore. After a residence in Norway he developed an interest for electronic music. In Norway he started the militancy in the techno collective “Stavanger Teknomune”, pioneers of the rave culture. After two year he decided to rise his musical skills, so returned to Naples and start to follow the Electronic Music course of local conservatory with M° Elio Martusciello. Today he is active in the develope of an aesthetics of noises that he keep on hunting in the elements of everyday life.

 

RAMKISSOON IZZI/ is an award-winning electro acoustic multimedia composer, performer, and sound artist.  His laptop and bass are the control center of his sound.  He has written works for a variety of media including theater, dance, installations, alternative controllers, and interactive multimedia. His compositions deal extensively with the use of technology in composition and have been featured at SEAMUS, NYCEMF, NIME, SPARK, LUMEN, Look and Listen Festival, Black Maria Film + Video Festival, World Maker Faire, MATA and numerous other venues and festivals, both nationally and internationally.  In his work he fuses media, technology, IDM, hardcore, classical, musique concrete and various other resources to perform interactive, improvisatory, and experimental works.

 

RAMOS PEREZ JAIME ANDREZ/ Chilean, 40 years old, Jaime Ramos Perez was born in Santiago, Chile in 1973. His background studies include a degree in Composition in Popular Music at the IPEM (Chile), a bachelor degree in Music and New Technologies at the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini (Florence, Italy), and actually he is finishing a Masters degree in composition of music for Film and TV in the University of Bristol (United Kingdom). This versatile background has allowed him to collaborate in many audio-visual and multimedia projects, including the composition of music and the creation of sound design for several short films, documentaries and video games in the U.K., Italy, Mexico and Chile.

 

RAW VERDIANA/ Verdiana Raw begins to approach music at the age of four, playing the violin. She attended the Music School of Fiesole under the guidance of Paolo Crispo, with whom she continued studying at Luigi Cherubini Academy of Music, where she studied piano complementary, choir etc.! She followed her passion for theater acting, attending workshops of different kind such as the onE on Butoh dance (led by the famous dancer Sayoko Onishi) In 2008 she started composing the first songs for voice and piano which have been included in the album "Metaxy" released in 2012 under the pseudonym of Verdiana Raw, with the label "Ark Records." Verdiana collaborated with various artists, for instance with the group Gargamella, with Ouroboros, the actress Marianna Messina composer Mario Baiardi, and more recently with the theatre—dance performer Luciana Stefani. She has a bachelor in Psychodynamic Music Therapy and is currently working on her second album produced by Paolo Favati (Pankow)

 

ROSATI TOMMASO/ is an Electronic musician, Jazz drummer and Electroacoustic composer from Prato. He achieved the bachelor in Jazz Drums and the master degree in Electronic Music. He works on several projects like sound spatialization and creation of hardware-software systems for live electronics control (augmented instruments).  

 

SATO AYAKO/ born in Japan, is a doctoral student at Tokyo University of the Arts. She received her Master of Music from Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and Tokyo University of the Arts. She composes and researches electroacoustic music. Her works have been selected for performances at international conferences and festivals including CCMC, FUTURA, WOCMAT, NYCEMF, SMC, ICMC, ISSTC, ISMIR, and so on. She was awarded the third prize of International Electroacoustic Music Young Composers Awards at WOCMAT (Taiwan, 2012), the honorary mention of International Taiwan Electroacoustic Music Composition Award at WOCMAT (Taiwan, 2013), the honorary mention of CCMC (Japan, 2012), the honorary mention of Destellos Competition (Argentina, 2013), the third prize of Prix PRESQUE RIEN (France, 2013), and Acanthus Prize at Tokyo University of the Arts (Japan, 2014). She is a member of Japanese Society for Electronic Music (JSEM) and Japanese Society for Sonic Arts (JSSA).

 

SCORDATO JULIAN graduated in Composition and Electronic Music at the Venice Conservatory of Music. His chamber and electroacoustic music works have been performed in Europe, Asia and America (Biennale di Venezia, Festival 5 Giornate - Milan, Electronic Arts and Music Festival - Miami, EMUfest - Rome, Re-New Digital Arts Festival - Copenhagen, Gaudeamus Music Week - Utrecht, Siren Festival - Gothenburg, Deep Wireless Festival - Montreal, Punto de Encuentro - Valencia, Sonorities Festival - Belfast, Seoul Computer Music Festival and elsewhere), selected in international competitions (Roma Soundtrack Competition, Flores D'Arcais Composition Prize, Conlon Music Prize and others) and broadcasted in Italy and abroad. As a speaker and performer he participated in scientific events including the 17th and 19th Colloquium on Music Informatics, the 8th Sound and Music Computing Conference and the 1st European Sound Studies Association Conference, presenting interactive performance systems. He recently collaborated in the organization of projects focused on acoustic ecology and design: Venice Sound Mapping and “Il soundscape della citta di Pordenone”. Ars Publica and Taukay Edizioni Musicali have published his compositions.

 

SOLEIMANI LAVASANI GELAREH*/ Gelareh Soleimani Lavasani was born in Perugia. At the age of three she moved to Iran and grew up there, now she has been living in Italy for 6 years. In 2004, she majored in music (Setar) at Tehran University studying with the greatest masters of setar,Jalal Zolfonun, Dariush Talaee and Masood Shaari, also studying classical music theory with Mostafakamal Purtorab and composition with Farhad Fakhreddini, Sarir and Farid Mohammad Omran. She returned to Italy in 2005 she continued her studies with Alfonso Belfiore and Marco Ligabue graduated in Electronic Music and in Music informatics at the Conservatory "L. Cherubini" in Florence, where she is currently attending the MA Degree in Music and New Technologies. At the same time she is registered DAMS at the University of Florence. She is the author of multimedia audiovisual, interactive installations and composer of electroacoustic music and interactive. He performs as a soloist of setar performing in many concerts with the Irani group and the Hamsaz group. She composed the soundtrack for the movie "Rock Democracy" dedicated to Nepal and directed by Leonardo Ferri presented at the River Festival. She has participated in several festivals, concerts , exhibitions and multimedia works as a writer and performer of the setar. In 2010, she established Cultural Association 8Arti with some Italian and Iranian artists in Florence where she has given life to the promotion and realization of artistic and cultural events for the city of Florence in collaboration with prestigious institutions

 

SOSA JORGE/ is a Mexican born composer currently residing in New York. Jorge received a Doctor in Musical Arts degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Jorge’s first full-length opera, “La Reina” was recently commissioned by the American Lyric Theater and was performed in a concert version during ALT’s Insight Festival in 2013. In 2013 Jorge was Composer in Residence with the NYU New Music Ensemble directed by Esther Lameneck, collaborating in improvisatory works with live electronics. Jorge’s Psalm of David was premiered in 2013 by acclaimed clarinettist David Krakauer and pianist Kathy Tagg at The Stone in New York City. In 2012 Jorge was commissioned to write his “Song of the Last Crossing”, which was included in the “Opera America Songbook”. His “Trés Sonetos de Quevedo” for soprano and guitar quartet were recently released by the Cuarteto de Guitarras de la Ciudad de México in their CD “A 5”. His work “Refraction I” for clarinet and electronics was released in the CD “Quirk” by Mauricio Saluguero, released in 2014. Jorge’s Time Wave Zero was selected for the New York Electronic Music Festival in 2014. His CD’s “Plastic Time” and “Enceladus” are available on all the major music download sites and through the website www.jorgesosa.com. Jorge is currently Assistant Professor of music at Molloy College in Long Island.

 

STANSBIE ADAM/ Adam Stansbie is known for his electroacoustic/acousmatic compositions, which have been widely performed (throughout Europe, Asia, North and South America and Australasia), published (Elektramusic, Musique et Recherche, Taukey and Sargasso) and prized (IMEB, Musiques et

Recherches, Destellos Foundation). Alongside his creative work, Adam has written extensively on the presentation and performance of acousmatic music and he is currently interested in the various ontological/phenomenological paradoxes that the acousmatic tradition seems to produce. Adam has taught at a number of institutions and is currently lecturing at The University of Sheffield where he directs the MA in Sonic Arts and the MA in Composition. STEGGALS LUCY/ My practice is best described in words beginning with P. With Play being the most important P followed by People/Place/Parameters/Past and Present/ Process and Product. People - I work in conversation/ collaboration with people including the general public/ other artists/ experts. Place- My practice is very site specific and responsive to the environment wether that is a tree/ a room/ a town/a museum or archive. Past and Present - I am interested in archive’s/collections. Drawing from the past and combining it with the present to create something new an unbelievable/ believable fiction. Process- by swinging/ walking / talking/ making and doing I remix and rearrange that which is already there. Allowing   something haptic / emergent to happen in order to make something new.Product- I am interested is each project becoming a series of elements that can be re arranged to suit different platforms and outputs. Wether that is lived experience/ online or a physical object.I am a visual artist based in London. Recent projects include at a fellowship In Zambia with Gasworks and the Triangle Network/Creative Connections at the National Portrait Gallery/ Currently Colour Walk an expanding archive of conversations on colour is on tour around the UK. It has been to Tate Britain and Tate Modern and is due to be at Turner Contemporary later in the summer. 

 

STRUFALDI SAMUELE/ is a Composer, Jazz and contemporary piano player and electronic musician from Florence. He graduated in jazz music with M° Mauro Grossi at the Conservatory of Livorno. He works on original pieces for different ensemble (from classic trio to big band) and he is used to blend his music with other arts like drawing, photography, videos. Together they write and perform music with the name Ruprekt.2, blending contemporary, electronic, jazz music and Graphic art.

 

TARABELLA LEONELLO/ began his musical training as jazz alto-sax player and earned his degree in Computer Science at the University of Pisa. He started his work on computer music under the direction of Maestro Pietro Grossi who was pioneering the research at CNUCE/C.N.R., Pisa and specialized at the Electronic Music Studio (EMS-MIT) in Boston and at the Center for Computer Research in Musical Acoustic (CCRMA) in Stanford. He currently coordinates the activities of the computerART Lab of ISTI/CNR in Pisa and yearly teaches a computer music course at the University of Pisa. His research mainly concerns the design and implementation of gestural interfaces and languagues for algorithmic composition and interactive computer music performaces.

 

TAVANTI LUCA*/ Luca Tavanti was born on the 15th of December 1986 in Pescia. He started playing violin at the age of 6 studying with Vittoria Ottaviani and he won several prizes and awards. From 2009 to 2013 he studied electronic music at Florence Music Conservatory, and he successfully completed an academic degree in 2014; his first degree thesis (supervisor: Professor Alfonso Belfiore) dealt with algorithmic composition, in particular analyzed the relationship between natural and synthesized sounds and experimented several spatialization techniques.

 

TEANI AURORA/ was born in Lucca in 1992. She has studied dance at the school Fuoricentro Danza e Teatro of Lucca and attending courses of Classical, Modern, Hip Hop and other courses taught by dancers guests of the school. She has participated in several concurs and initiatives in Italy and abroad. As well as a student at the school is also a dance teacher. She also studied law at the University of Pisa.

At age 16 she won the "Concorso Primavera" (PG) with the formation of the quintet. She has performed with the Orchestra Stabile Siena, Orchestra da camera “Poliziana”, "La Tramontata" (Germania), “F. Petrarca”, “Clara Schumann”, "Sessione Senese per la Musica e l'Arte", Etruria Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of masters such as Roberto Fabbriciani, Luciano Garosi, Michele Manganelli, Mario Fidel, Luciano Acocella, Alessandro Pinzauti, Mario Fidel, Joseph del Principe, Enrique Mazzola, Roberto Pasquini. She attended various masterclasses of chamber music and instrument with: - M° Cristiano Rossi (“Bach nellʼorchestra da camera”); - Corso Internazionale di Musica da Camera a Fenestrelle (To); - M° Carmelo Giallombardo. And masterclasses especially in antique and chamber music (“Il Rossignolo” -Tenerani/ Noferi/Testi) and Jazz improvvisation in ensemble (“Siena Jazz 2010” - Giachero/ Nannetti): Participated to Cantiere Internazionale dʼArte (Montepulciano 2006-2009) and Bruscello Poliziano (2008-2010). TUCI LINDA*/ Born in 1979, in the early nineties she began to study music and piano; later, she became interested in the composition. During the academic studies, explores the aesthetic-religious aspects in Schönberg's music and in his theoretic works. Having decided to concentrate on electro-acoustic music composition, she currently attends the Electronic Music Course at the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Florence.

 

TUNDO MATTEO*/ Matteo Tundo was born in Potenza on 08/21/1992, He started playing guitar when he was 14. He attended the Liceo Classico "Quinto Orazio Flacco", in 2010 he attended the guitar course in the Accademia Musicale Lucana with M ° Antonio Nicola Bruno and at the same time he’s admitted to the course of Classical Guitar with M° Michele Greci in the Conservatory "Gesualdo da Venosa " in Potenza. In 2011, he studied privately jazz guitar with M° Massimo Greco and in the same year he was admitted to the Jazz Guitar course at the Conservatory "Luigi Cherubini" in Florence with M° Umberto Fiorentino. Also in 2011, he follows the course of diploma in Siena Jazz with M° Roberto Nannetti. In 2012 he attended the master class at "Orsara Jazz" with M° Lucio Ferrara. He studied composition privately with M° Simone Graziano. In 2013 he attended the course "Creative Coding" at the Tempo Reale in Florence and he participated in master class held by M ° Esther Lamneck, playing with MNT Florence Ensemble. He played in several bands: Cryptical, Smooth Streets Project, Mamagriot, Bucolic Party, Maurizio Gambardella, Serial Experiments, Antonio Nicola Bruno Magic Sound. He is currently active in the environment of avant-garde music with a project in collaboration with Simone Graziano, Emanuele Parrini, Matteo Giglioni, Piero Bittolo Bon and Alessio Riccio. He worked on this album: Smooth Streets Project - City Lights; Maurizio Gambardella - Heart; Serial Experiments - Memories.

 

TURNER JEREMY/ Dr. Jeremy Turner is a sculptor with an interest in materials and the use of process to bring about objects and environments that have previously not existed. Many of these objects and environments are informed by, and relate to the things and situations we encounter in the world. Through a collision of the familiar and everyday abruptly with the unfamiliar or extraordinary, new combinations of things allow for new readings of our ever-changing situation. Jeremy Turner is currently Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader in Fine Art at the University of Chester. He has held lecturing roles at the University of Leeds, Bretton Hall University College, the University of Lincoln, and has been a Fine Art Research Fellow at Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Higher Education. He exhibits widely, and is an associate member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors.

 

ULISSE LAURA/ performer, she combined her study of dance and movement with her knowledge of psychology. In her research, the body is perceived as an instrument to represent and translate physical and emotional dimensions. Her choreographic piece A tre secondi da qui, has been performed in Kino Bosna-­‐Sarajevo; Festival Danza D’Autunno, Venezia; Festivale,Tasmania Australia. Currently she collaborate with visual artist Rita Correddu in Everybody needs a place to think, a sound installation of Museo Internazionale della Musica, Bologna, Festival Centocage (2012) and Ad Sidera in collaboration with INAF– Osservatorio Astronomico of Bologna, Festival PerAspera (2013). With ILIAC, an electronic duo she is working on a new creation: Living.

 

VALDIVIA LUIS/ Luis Valdivia was born in La Plata, Argentina. He studies Electronic Music Composition (Master of Music) at the Folkwang Hochschule (Essen, Germany) with Prof. Thomas Neuhaus since 10.2009 and Computer Science at the Salzburg University. He studied Guitar at the Conservatory Gilardo Gilardi. Private Study with Eduardo Fernandez (Guitar), Monica Cosachov (Chamber Music) and Enrique Gerardi (Compostion). He studied Composition from 2004-2009 at the University Mozarteum, Salzburg with Achim Bornhöft. Prices Third Prize at the First European Electroacustic Composition Competition Erasmus, Paris, France, 2012. First Prize at the Composition Competition „Eduardo Fabini“, Montevideo, Uruguay, 2004. His Works are played in Concerts and Festivals around the Word in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Ireland, England, Japan, Uruguay, France, USA, Brasil and Argentina.

 

VARCHIONE MASSIMO/ He was born in Switzerland in 1979. He's graduated in Composition at the Conservatory of Benevento Nicola Sala, he's studing Electronic Music at the Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella in Naples with Elio Martusciello. Already involved in contemporary music and electronics, he started a new course dedicated to the improvisation with the electronics.

 

VARGAS ROLANDO/ Born in Bogota, Colombia. Rolando Vargas is a visual artist working with video, installation and multimedia. Vargas is a Fulbright scholar with a MFA at University of Maryland and is a current PhD student in Film and Digital Media at University of California, Santa Cruz. VASARRI FULVIO/ Fulvio Vasarri was born in Florence in 1971, after technical studies he graduated as Electronic technician at the ITI in Florence. During his studies school had a passion for music before studying on her own and then with the famous pianist Claudio Baglioni, Walter Savelli. After a few years of professional growth creates his own recording studio and together they produced many compositions for websites, advertisements and pop songs including one in particular stands out in the international competition of Romania in 1995 "The Golden Stag" . In 2010 he enrolled at the Cherubini Conservatory in Florence to the department "Music and New Technologies" conducted among others by Professor Alfonso Belfiore. This experience will be very important for his artistic development that will discover new aspects and nuances of innovative electronic music and new forms of expression related to multimedia and new styles are completely different from the shape of the classic song.

 

VASQUEZ JUAN CARLOS/ is a London-based sound artist and composer from Colombia. He has participated as a sonic artist, composer and/or performer in events within the United Kingdom, United States, France, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Finland, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. Commissions by the Westminster and Chelsea Hospital / Museum (UK) in partnership with Royal College of Music (UK), the Arts Council through the Wiltshire Museum (UK), Polish Artists in London “PAiL” (UK) and the Hilltown New Music Festival (Ireland). Record deals with Important Records (USA) and Ablaze Records (USA/Australia), including airplay in many radio stations around the world. Other spaces supporting the diffusion of his work include the University of Kent (Symposium of Acoustic Ecology), Wesleyan University (Society of Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States 2014 National Conference), The New York Public Library (Kinokophonography), Leeds College of Music (International Festival for Artistic Innovation), Queen’s University Belfast (Sonorities 2014), Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2012, The Savoy Hotel (Emperors for Tea), Florida International University (New Music Miami Festival), New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival and the Electronic Language International Festival (FILE – Brazil).

 

VENTUROLI ANDREA/ At the end of piano studies, Andrea Venturoli began, at the end of the 70s, professionally interested in electronic music. He took courses in Phonology and Computer Music by Albert Mayr, Pietro Grossi and James Dashaw to Florence, Pisa and Padova. In a short time, and in this context, he began collaborating with many important Italian and foreign artists and writers, by Dario Fo Gavino Ledda, from Krypton to Antonio Infantino and many others. Award-winning prizes for musical productions and multimedia, in the '80s began a brilliant and industrious career as an arranger and performer in the most important Italian recording studios, again as part of the Electronic Music. He was one of the founders of the Institute of “Istituto Superiore di Tecnologia delle Arti Sonore” that, in the mid-80s, was one of the most important landmarks in the field of electro-acoustic products. In order to reinvigorate the creative enthusiasm that has always distinguished him, he attended the course in Music and New Technologies at the Conservatorio "L. Cherubini "in Florence, under the instruction of Alfonso Belfiore, Marco Ligabue and Roberto Neri, graduating in February of 2012 cum laude.

 

VIOLA BILL/ (b.1951) is internationally recognized as one of today’s leading artists. He has been instrumental in the establishment of video as a vital form of contemporary art, and in so doing has helped to greatly expand its scope in terms of technology, content, and historical reach. For 40 years he has created videotapes, architectural video installations, sound environments, electronic music performances, flat panel video pieces, and works for television broadcast. Viola’s video installations—total environments that envelop the viewer in image and sound—employ state-of-the-art technologies and are distinguished by their precision and direct simplicity. They are shown in museums and galleries worldwide and are found in many distinguished collections. His single channel videotapes have been widely broadcast and presented cinematically, while his writings have been extensively published, and translated for international readers. Viola uses video to explore the phenomena of sense perception as an avenue to self-knowledge. His works focus on universal human experiences—birth, death, the unfolding of consciousness—and have roots in both Eastern and Western art as well as spiritual traditions, including Zen Buddhism, Islamic Sufism, and Christian mysticism. Using the inner language of subjective thoughts and collective memories, his videos communicate to a wide audience, allowing viewers to experience the work directly, and in their own personal way.

 

VISMARA GIULIA/ Giulia Vismara, sound designer, was born in Venice where she breathed an unusual dimension of sound time space. After her Musicology degree with a tesi entitled: "Max Neuhaus, for a possible emancipation of sound.", supervisor Daniela Cascella, she took a Master in music and new technology at Conservatory of Florence. She cooperates with Alga Marghen, an italian label specialising in outsiders and twentieth century composition. Currently she is investigating the dynamical relationship between sound and space, especially architectural and urban space, this is also the subject of her Phd proposal. Giulia's most great interest are concrete sounds. She is working on several sound projects: electroacoustic compositions, audio documentaries, field recordings, reconstruction of old soundscapes, sound installations.
